Amanda Davenport serves as the Executive Director for the Lake Barkley Partnership. For the past eight years, Amanda has worked in both rapidly developing Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and in small communities in rural Kentucky. Her community work focuses on creating investment opportunities across the region to support business expansion and industry attraction. Amanda is a champion of regionalism and rural development. She has worked on a variety of both economic and community development projects including site development, historical preservation, downtown revitalization, business expansion, and workforce development. Amanda is a native Texan living in rural west Kentucky. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Murray State University and MBA from Texas Woman’s University. She now resides on a small farm with her husband Joe, daughter Cora. She has far too many house plants and enjoys cooking spicy food.

Carter M. Hendricks has served as the Executive Director of the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council since February 1, 2020. Prior to this role, Carter served as Hopkinsville. In these roles, Carter has helped to lead the region during the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse Festival and to earning All American City Finalist status and the highest TVA Livability Score in 2020. In addition, the region has enjoyed a variety of community recognitions such as Tree City, USA, Most Patriotic City, Great American Defense Community, TVA Sustainable Community, and State of Kentucky Work Ready Certified Community.

Carter recently received his certificate for completing the Kentucky Association for Economic Development’s certification program. Additionally, Carter earned an undergraduate degree, as a Political Science and History major, from Western Kentucky University and a graduate degree, emphasis on education, from Concordia University-Saint Paul, MN. Carter is married to Faye Eleanor Hendricks and is the proud dad of Lily Kaye and Chase. When Carter’s not recruiting a company or coaching track and field, he enjoys time with his family, hiking, exercising, and travel.

Elizabeth Griffith Mudd, a native of Owensboro, was hired as President of Kentucky Lake Economic Development (KLED) in 2023. She is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College where she obtained her degree in Communications, and Western Kentucky University where she completed her Master’s in Public Administration. Elizabeth recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute (OUEDI), which is the premier organization dedicated to training economic development professionals and is fully accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Prior to her time at KLED, she served as the Director of Existing Industry and Workforce Development at the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation. 

Elizabeth is a member of Impact 100 Owensboro, is a board member on the KET Friends Board, the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden and was appointed by Governor Matt Bevin to the board of directors for the Kentucky Arts Council in 2016. She was named a Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 honoree in 2017, is a 2019 graduate of Leadership Owensboro and a 2021 graduate of Elevate Kentucky. She is married to Taylor Mudd who works for Murray State University.

Originally from the State of Mississippi, Mark has been directly involved in Economic Development for over 30 years and has been in Murray for over 15 years. He has worked in State Government as well as having vast experience at both the regional and local level. Mark has extensive experience in Industrial recruiting and working with existing industry. With a strong background in business finance and a passion for manufacturing, Mark is able to quickly bring together the incentives, infrastructure and workforce programs that bring creative solutions to companies both before and after the location decision is made.
